Airfare: You can fly into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (80 miles from Athens) or Athens Ben Epps Airport. Check prices from your city!

Transportation: Groome Transportation offers service from Athens to and from the Atlanta Airport with convenient pick-up locations and 22 trips daily. $41 each way. Reservations recommended. Atlanta Airport offers rental cars.

Hotel: The host hotel is the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & HotelIndividuals are responsible for making their own hotel reservations and paying for their own room, tax, and incidental charges. Reservations may be made by telephone (1-800-884-1381 or 706-542-2134), or through the Georgia Center website (www.UGAHotel.com).

If you participate in the pre-conference, you will need to be present by Monday morning.  Otherwise, the conference kicks off with a Welcome Reception on Monday evening and educational sessions begin Tuesday morning.  Thursday will consist of a popular all-group session as well as all-group discussion and networking opportunities, ending by noon.

2014 Meeting/Conference: Baltimore Meeting on Higher Ed Child Protection | May 12-14, 2014 | Baltimore, MD (hosted by Ann Franke)

We held the first in-person meeting in Baltimore on May 13-14, 2014. The University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA) accepted a proposal for a youth protection panel at its mid-Atlantic regional meeting. We gathered as a group of about 20 people for two separate conversations during that conference.
